Half an hour later Tobi was asleep on the table and I was bored out of my mind. Then Scabbers came running down the stairs with Crookshanks running after him. Oh this is going to go over well. Ron started yelling at Hermione and then Hermione started yelling at Ron. As always, to save the day Harry showed up. I was the first one to see him. I ran up the flight of stairs and hugged him. After that we sat at the table and talked about our trip to Egypt. Fred, George, Percy, mom, and dad showed up not long after that.
Fred and George sat with their arms crossed on the table and their heads resting on them. “Why doesn’t he like us?” They asked at the same time while staring at Tobi. I sighed. “He doesn’t like you because he’s afraid of everyone but Dumbledore and me.” I answered simply for the millionth time. About fifteen minutes Tobi gave in. He crouched down on the table in front of me with his tail wagging back and forth. In no time he was romping around the table with Fred and George. “Congratulations Rosella, they now have a partner in crime.” Ron said looking tired. “Tobi will not become a criminal.” I declared.
We were then ordered to our rooms. Ginny, Hermione, and I were sharing a room. We watched and laughed as Tobi ran around the room chasing a moth. “So who are you riding with on the train?” Hermione asked. “With me!” Ginny exclaimed as she jumped onto my lap. “I’ll introduce you to some friends.” She informed me. Not long after we fell asleep. It wasn’t until I lied down that I realized how tired I was. I suppose all the excitement of the day really took a toll on me.
I dreamed I was walking around the Leaky Cauldron. It was dark but the numbers on the doors seemed to be illuminated. Someone, a girl, kept saying “Remember” over and over and over again. I never saw her so I was freaked out and a bit frantic. I don’t know where I was walking but I felt like I had to get somewhere before it was too late. I kept walking faster and faster and the whispered voice kept getting louder and louder. Finally I came to a dead end. All sounds except for the sound of my thumping heart had ceased. There on a dust covered, gold plaque that was mounted on a door was an “X”. The word “Remember” was whispered softly and as if it was just behind the door.
I opened the door and there surrounded in darkness was a snake. I jolted upward and almost ran into Fred and George who were hovering over me. I let out a sigh and slumped in a sitting position. “We’re you two saying anything? Like, repeating one word over and over again?” I asked them. “Not this time.” George said. “But we were debating on how we were going to wake you up.” Fred informed me. Glad I dogged that bullet. I shot a questioning look at Hermione. “They’re telling the truth.” She confirmed. “Surprisingly.” She added.
The boys left and we all started getting ready. “So did you have a weird dream or something?” Ginny questioned. “Yeah.” I answered simply as I pulled my white, v-neck sweater with a hood over my head. I wasn’t sure how much I could say about it at this point. It was confusing and even though it was so short it was so complicated. “I’ll tell you about it when I figure it out.” I told her after pulling on my jeans, surprisingly without falling over like I usually do. We finished getting ready sooner that I thought possible for three girls with one mirror.
I scooped up Tobi, who was still asleep, and headed downstairs so we could eat before we left. We didn’t have any dog food so he just ate what was left on our plates once we were finished. We still had a little time left so I read and tried to calm my nerves while Tobi slept on me. It wasn’t until now that I wondered if the dream had been nothing but an overload of excitement. I shook my head and thought about the more important things. Things like which house I would be in. If it isn’t Gryffindor I’ll probably freak out because I won’t know anyone. I suppose there’s a chance that I won’t though because I don’t know what house my parents were in.
